What should I do if I get sick or injured? Is there a medical clinic on campus?​

The school has a medical clinicfor minor illnesses or injuries. When in emergency medical situation, dial 120(China’emergency hotline) and notify the dormitory supervisor immediately.

Can parents stay on campus?​

Parents accompanying new students may stay on campus for ¥200 per room/night during the first week. After one week, the rate resumes to ¥420 per room/night.

Is Wi-Fi available on campus? Is it free?​

Free Wi-Fiis available campus-wide, including classrooms and dormitories. No additional charges apply.

Is dormitory cleaning provided? Are male and female dorms separate?​

Cleaning staff maintains ublic areas only(not individual rooms). Male and female students reside in eparate dormitory buildings.

Are bedding and personal supplies provided by the school?​

The school provides edding and pillowsfor a ¥320 annual rental fee. Personal items like toiletries (shampoo, shower gel, toothpaste)must be brought by students.

What facilities are provided in the dormitory?​

Dormitories are equipped with air conditioning, cable TV, Wi-Fi, private bathroom, hot water, shared kitchen, and shared laundry rooms.

What is the approximate daily cost for meals on campus?​

The school cafeteria offers buffet meals:

Breakfast: ¥5 (served from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM)

Lunch: ¥10 (served from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM)

Dinner: ¥10 (served from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM).

Will the school arrange pick-up for new students arriving in China for the first time?​

Yes. The school arranges staff to pick up new students, but you must inform the school in advance of your arrival time and flight details.

Can I get a tuition refund if I drop out?​

What fees will I need to pay?​

An RMB800 deposit is required during application which is refundable if withdrawn. Other fees include: registration fee (RMB300), tuition fee (RMB9600 per semester), accommodation fee (RMB1800/four-bed room, RM6800/two-bed room), textbook fee (RMB400 per semester) and bedding rental expense (RMB 320).

Additionally, you may need extra money for physical examination (RMB400), visa extension (RMB550 for extension within one year or RMB950 for extension beyond one year), medical accident insurance (RMB400/half-year or RMB800/year) and daily expenses. To avoid unnecessary trouble, it is recommended that you exchange enough Renminbi before coming to China or open a savings account at local Chinese banks (such as Bank of China or Industrial and Commercial Bank of China).

After receiving admission letter, how can I apply for a visa?​

You may apply for a student visa at the nearest Embassy/Consulate General of China. If you received JW202 Form together with admission letter, you may use it together with admission letter to apply for X1 visa. If only admission letter is received, you can apply for X2 visa.

Can I apply for scholarships?​

We offer an automatic scholarship worth RMB2000 yuan for each new student (excluding those who studied less than one semester). In addition, you can also apply for our Scholarship for Excellent New Students through our online application system. The amounts awarded range from RMB5000 yuan (First Prize), RMB3000 yuan (Second Prize) to RMB1000 yuan (Third Prize).

How do I apply?​

Please visit https://apply.bjhwxy.com/, register an account using your email address. Log in and click on “Online Application” to select your desired major. Fill out your application form, and submit scanned copies of your passport or other required documents. Wait for approval.

How do I choose a major?​

If you want to learn Chinese and do not have any diploma requirements, you can choose our Chinese Language Program. Students of all levels from beginner to advanced are welcome to enroll for 6 months up to 3 years with flexible schedules.

If you want an undergraduate degree, the following majors are available:

Ÿ  BLCC-TJU 1+3 Program (Chinese Language Major): The program lasts for four years. In the first year, students study Chinese and general courses at BLCC. After passing HSK level 4, they will continue their studies in Tianjin University’s major courses for three years. Upon graduation, students receive a bachelor’s degree from Tianjin University along with their diploma certificate. Admitted students will have the opportunity to receive full scholarships.

Ÿ  BLCC-TJU 1+4 Program (Other Majors): The program lasts five years. In the first year, students study Chinese and general courses at BLCC. After passing HSK level 5, they will continue their studies in one of over fifty majors offered by Tianjin University such as Computer Science & Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Chemical Engineering & Process Design, Business Administration, E-Commerce etc. Upon graduation, students receive a bachelor’s degree from Tianjin University along with their diploma certificate. Admitted students will have the opportunity to receive full scholarships.

Ÿ  BLCC-USTB (Multiple Majors): The program lasts four years. In the first year, students study Chinese and general courses at BLCC. After passing HSK level 4, they will continue studying major courses in University of Science and Technology Beijing. Students can choose from over forty majors including Material Science & Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Computer Science & Technology. Upon graduation, student receive a bachelor’s degree from University of Science and Technology Beijing along with their diploma certificate.

How many classes are there per day, and what are the timings?​

Students typically attend 4–6 classes daily. Morning classes run from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM, and afternoon classes are held from 2:00 PM to 3:45 PM.

When does the semester year start and end?​

There are two semesters each year. The Spring Semesterruns from early March to mid-July, and the Autumn Semesterruns from late August to mid-January of the following year.
